Background The Sino-Japanese Symposium on Building Structure Technology was established in 1993 by experts and scholars in the field of building structure from China and Japan to promote technological exchanges and promote friendship between the two sides. For more than 20 years, I have held 18 exchanges in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Dalian, Xi’an, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Tokyo and Nanjing respectively
