Through analyzing the casting conditions and existing problems of 180mm cross-section of round billet, a special mold flux that meets the requirements of 180mm section casting of round billet was developed. Industrial test results show that the developed round billet 180mm special mold powder fully meet the round steel billet 180mm cross-section of the production requirements
