改革开放以来,中国的经济有了长期、稳定、快速的发展。我国的投资环境也有了良好的改善,越来越多的外商投资企业开始瞄准中国市场登陆中国,瞄准中国市场经过20几年的发展,外商投资企业的规模、数量都有了惊人的增长。截至2006年2月,我国累计批准外商投资企业55．6万多家,实际使用外资金额达到了6269．70亿美元(资料来源:中国外经贸部网站)。可见,外商投资企业已经成为我国经济发展的重要组成部分。外资企业的成长潜力和未来的发展前景,在很大程度上影响着我国未来经济社会的健康、持续发展。因此,帮助外商投资企业理解并认识中国文化,提高跨文化管理和经营的能力,对于外资企业乃至我国经济的健康、稳定、持续发展都有着极为重要的理论和实践意义。
Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has enjoyed long-term, stable and rapid development. The investment environment in our country has also been greatly improved. More and more foreign-invested enterprises are starting to target the Chinese market to China. After 20 years of development aimed at the Chinese market, the scale and number of foreign-invested enterprises have all witnessed remarkable growth. As of February 2006, China has approved a total of 556,000 foreign-invested enterprises and the actual utilized foreign investment reached 626.970 billion U.S. dollars (Source: MOFTEC website). It can be seen that foreign-invested enterprises have become an important part of China’s economic development. The growth potential of foreign-funded enterprises and their future development prospects will greatly affect the healthy and sustained development of China’s economy and society in the future. Therefore, helping foreign-invested enterprises to understand and recognize Chinese culture and enhance their ability to manage and operate across cultures has extremely important theoretical and practical significance for the health, stability and sustainable development of foreign-funded enterprises and even our economy.
