本文分两大部分:第一部分系介紹衡重式挡土墙在我国西南铁路工程中的設计和应用概况;第二部分討論了有关衡重式挡土墙的适应条件、范围、衡重台高度的选择、上墙截面設计计算理論等間題,特別对上墙土压力计算应将应力边界条件、变形边界条件、須采用的土压力的弹性及塑性原理相对应的問題,提出了初步探討和看法。結合工程实践,对挡土墙頂部設置护坡或护墙产生的集中压力,填大块石路堤挡墙上的压力,以及墙身結构应力集中等問題也进行了探討。可供工程設计及进一步研究衡重式挡土墙的参考。
