Objective: To investigate the effects of valsartan combined with atorvastatin sodium on inflammatory factors and nutritional status in maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods: 120 patients with maintenance hemodialysis were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 60 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given oral atorvastatin orally and patients in the observation group were given valsartan combined with atorvastatin sodium orally. The changes of C-reactive protein (CRP), IL-6, tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), resistin and serum albumin (ALb) and hemoglobin (Hb) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The levels of hs - CRP, TNF - α, IL - 6 and resistin were significantly decreased in both groups after 6 months treatment (P <0.05), but the above indexes in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). Alb and Hb levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: Valsartan combined with atorvastatin sodium in patients with maintenance hemodialysis can significantly reduce the level of inflammatory cytokines and improve the nutritional status of patients.
