湖北大学图书馆始建于1931年,历经了湖北省立教育学院图书馆、武汉师范学院图书馆到湖北大学图书馆的变迁。经过80年的建设和发展,湖北大学图书馆已经成为了学校的文献信息中心和对社会服务的重要基地,是全国古籍重点保护单位,综合办馆实力位居省属高校图书馆前列。湖北大学图书馆由总馆和两个分馆组成,总面积达46051平方米,拥有座位5184席。总馆于2005年正式投入使用,共12层,建筑面积42051平方米,建筑设计新颖别致,是湖北大学的标志性建筑。总馆拥有学科阅览室26个,阅览座位4512席;人文分馆位于湖北
Hubei University Library was founded in 1931, after the Hubei Provincial Institute of Education Library, Wuhan Normal University Library to Hubei University Library changes. After 80 years of construction and development, Hubei University Library has become the school’s documentary information center and an important base for social services. It is a national key protected institution of ancient books. The comprehensive office strength is among the highest in the provincial university library. Hubei University Library consists of the main library and two branches, with a total area of 46051 square meters, with seats 5184 seats.
