On January 21 this year, the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress passed the Water Law of the People’s Republic of China and came into force on July 1. The Water Law is one of six natural resources laws in our country and the basic law on water. Water and the past for the rise and fall of the Chinese nation are all of crucial significance to the development of our country’s national economy and the four modernizations.
