改革开放以来,特别是90年代以来,浙江省临海市的工业经济出现了下列几个十分重要的区域特色经济:杜桥的眼镜,东塍的节日灯,尤溪的钮扣,小溪的汽配,自水洋、双港的日用工艺品,城关、大田、东塍的旅游用品,张家渡的车木、竹珠,邵家渡的草席,等等。区域特色经济在发展中一方面形成了新的优势,如先发优势、集聚优势及其他一些优势,但随着时间的推移,发展初期的一些优势可能正在弱化、消失,有的优势甚至变成了劣势。因此,如何采取措施,保持优势,促进区域特色经济的健康发展,对于区域经济的发展具有十分重要的意义。
