海派小说在中国现代文学史上是一个独特的存在,其在上海这个独特的文化语境中所表现出的“异质”和“另类”曾引起了广泛的争论。笔者认为,海派小说最本质的特色在于其“现代性”的品质,在于其受西方文艺思潮的影响而表现出来的现代主义的思想艺术特征。如果把海派小说放在“现代性”的视角下来研究,我们就会更清楚地看到海派小说的独特品质,也能在文学史的视野中给海派小说一个合适的定位。
Shanghai style novel is a unique existence in the history of modern Chinese literature. Its “heterogeneity” and “alternative” in Shanghai’s unique cultural context have aroused widespread controversy. The author believes that the most essential feature of the Shanghai style novels lies in the quality of its “modernity” lies in the modernist ideological and artistic features that are influenced by the trend of Western literary trends. If we study the Shanghai style novels on the perspective of “modernity”, we will see more clearly the unique qualities of the Shanghai style novels and also give the Shanghai novel an appropriate orientation in the perspective of literary history.
