下野地是一个新兴的糖甜菜生产基地,糖甜菜的种植面积年年扩大,管理水平不断提高.但对母根贮藏的经验不够,每年在贮藏期间受到严重的损失,并影响了种子生产.1959年我校贮藏母根3万余斤,平均损失率只占5%.现将有关贮藏上的几个关键性问题作如下讨论.一、窖址的选择及规格1.窖址选择和挖窖:窖址应选择在距渠道较远,避风向阳,地势高燥,无盐碱的壤土,以及交通方便的地段,特别注意避免因冬灌影响而增加土壤湿度,有害于母根安全越冬.
