问：作为世界全景画协会主席,您能谈谈选择在鲁迅美术学院召开第十三届国际全景画学术会议的原因吗? 斯托姆：我很荣幸能来到沈阳鲁迅美术学院。中国的全景画发展速度之快,令世界都为之惊讶,现今100米以上规模的全景画,世界上仅有二十余幅,而且大部分是历史上遗留下来的,新的作品很少。而中国在短短20年的时间里竟完成了八幅,这简直就是中国的神话。而且这些全景画基本上又都由鲁迅美术学院完成,我很敬佩他们的这种精神!作为世界全景画前任主席,我对在中国鲁迅美术学院召开这次会议投了赞成的一票。
Q: As President of the World Panorama Association, can you talk about the reasons for choosing the 13th International Panorama Conference at the Academy of Fine Arts in Luxun? STOOM: I am honored to come to Shenyang Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. The rapid development of panoramic landscape in China has astonished the world. At present, there are only more than 20 panoramic landscapes of more than 100 meters in the world, most of which are left over from history and few are new works. In the short span of 20 years, China actually completed eight films, which is simply the myth of China. And these panoramas are basically done by Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, and I really admire their spirit! As a former chairman of the world panorama, I voted in favor of convening the conference at the Chinese Academy of Art in Lu Xun.
