乌纳雷泻湖位于委内瑞拉安索阿特吉州东北部的海岸带地区。每当雨季来临的时候,泻湖的长度便可扩大到22公里,宽度可达6公里。过去在300～600米宽的沙埂上有2个通道口,但是近来却被与岸线平行输送的沙子所掩盖。现在乌纳雷河口三角洲的支流已经把乌纳雷泻湖与加勒比海连接起来,并且还把比较小的位于东北方向的皮里图泻湖也连接起来。乌纳雷泻湖目前通过这个支系排出它的水流。
The Unalay Lagoon is located in the coastal zone of northeastern part of Ansotat Kyrgyzstan, Venezuela. Every time the rainy season comes, the length of the lagoon can be extended to 22 kilometers and the width to 6 kilometers. In the past, there were 2 access openings on sand ridges 300 to 600 meters wide, but recently it was overshadowed by sand transported parallel to the shoreline. Now the tributaries of the Unacare Delta have linked the Unani Lagoon to the Caribbean Sea and also connect the relatively small Piedito Lagoon in the northeast. The Unalare Lagoon now discharges its current of water through this branch.
