1996年,作为社会扩大再生产重要手段的本市固定资产投资,继续保持总量扩大、稳定增长的发展态势。据年快报统计;1996年全社会固定资产投资完成1980.03亿元,比上年增长23.6％,其中:基本建设投资670.56亿元,增长21.5％,更新改造投资424.58亿元,增长9.1％,商品房投资640.73亿元,增长37.4％;城镇集体投资37.53亿元,增长51.2％;国有其他投资17.4亿元,增长6.6％;农村集体投资168.13亿元,增长20.5％,私人建房投资21.1亿元,增长52.6％。上海固定资产投资完成额占全国的份额比上年有所减少,约为全国的7.7％。1996年本市的固定资产投资运行特点:
