江苏海门县东灶港渔业总公司为专业海洋捕捞集体生产单位,现有120～150马力的木质渔船108艘.近年来有的渔船已进入报废期或即将进入报废期,需逐步更新添置.为提高海洋捕捞能力,迎接海洋渔业资源衰退的挑战,加强外海捕捞竞争能力,该总公司利用集体的优势,投资497.88万元(其中自有资金257.88万元,国家低息贷款240万元),从1988年起,相继购建了8艘主机功率为270马力的(808)钢质渔轮.两年多来的海洋捕捞实践表明,购建钢质渔轮取得了较为理想的投资效果.
