中国人从来都是讲究“天人合一”的美学思想,外部物象在人的眼中都不是孤立和冷酷的存在,要表现在绘画里一定是和作画者自己的情感合二为一的统一体。所以在中国画家的笔下,多半展示的是人赋予物象的一种情感和精神,无论是山水画、花鸟画或是人物画,都充满了暖暖的人情味。因而意象造型也涵盖于中国画的各个画种,尤其在人物画的创作中,更显出中国画的精神。在这方面做得好的画家自古以来当属梁楷第一也。他的减笔人物画,则开创了中国绘画史上的新天地,丰富了中国画的艺术表现手法,体现了中国绘画艺术的审美观念和发展潮流。
