《茂物宣言》把实现“亚太地区贸易和投资自由化”作为APEC的长期目标,它反映了亚太地区经济结合日益紧密的趋势,表明了亚太区域合作的发展方向。这一新方向将为香港提供更多的机遇:1.有利于发挥香港的优势,增添经济活力;2.加强香港作为国际贸易中心的地位;3.为服务贸易的发展提供新机会;4.加强香港作为亚太区内资金流动渠道的作用;5.推动香港与APEC其他成员在人力资源开发、科技领域的合作,促进经济共同发展。
As a long-term goal of APEC, the “Bogor Declaration,” which seeks to achieve “the liberalization of trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region,” reflects the increasingly close economic integration in the Asia-Pacific region and shows the direction for the development of cooperation in the Asian-Pacific region. This new direction will provide Hong Kong with more opportunities: 1. It will give play to the advantages of Hong Kong and increase its economic viability. 2. Strengthen Hong Kong’s position as an international trading center. 3. Provide new opportunities for the development of trade in services. To strengthen the role of Hong Kong as a channel for capital flows in the Asia Pacific region; 5. To promote cooperation between Hong Kong and other APEC members in human resources development and science and technology and promote common economic development.
