1970年,天安门曾被秘密地拆除,又秘密地重新建造,这些情况一直不为外界所知。 1970年,天安门被彻底拆除,重建一番,它在这次重建中比先前增高了87厘米。这件事不仅全国人民不知道,北京市人民也不知道,就连当时的故宫博物馆、劳动人民文化宫和中山公园的所有工作人员都不知道。在当时,这项工程被列为全国重点“一号机密工程”,主要原因是为了不影响当时频繁的集会。不久前,笔者采访了曾经参加重建工作的几位老工人,听到了一些鲜为人知的故事。
