The purpose of this paper is to report to the conference on the performance and even dramatic improvements of the high-power, injection-on-amp cross-field amplifiers. The fundamental problem with injecting electron-inject structures has been the generation of very high-level wide-band noise and has so far prevented these devices from fully achieving high gain and high efficiency.
