With the rapid development of economic construction, the pace of urbanization in the southeastern coastal province of Fujian has been greatly accelerated. In order to form a unique pattern of urbanization in Fujian, Fujian Province proposed the construction of three levels of modern cities: 1. International cities. This type of city has a high degree of aggregation, with a relatively concentrated population, capital, infrastructure, and production facilities, a well-developed social division of labor, advanced science and technology, convenient transportation, outstanding regional advantages, and a high degree of openness to the outside world.
