Since the discovery of the diamond mine in Guinea in 1984, French and Anglo-French companies have taken away nearly 2 million carats of fine quality diamonds from here. In the capitalist market, the price of diamonds is several times more expensive than gold and platinum. However, it did not bring wealth and happiness to the Guinean people. European companies exploit Guinean workers and individual diamond-diggers brutally and pay up to their work only 3-5% of the value of the diamonds they take. Now Guinea has become an independent republic. Although diamond mines in the southeast are still being mined by French and Anglo-French companies, Guineans, after all, are the masters of all the treasure on their land.
