The crumbling problem of chip formation is an important issue that is closely related to the basic theory of the principle of cutting. How the problem of sabotage also means how chips are formed. In this paper, the authors consider that there are two kinds of damage to the cutting process; one is to destroy the so-called unit and the other is to destroy the machined surface. The author of the former thought that it was incorrect to explain the unit formation process, pointing out that the chip formation was somewhat similar to the rough formation at the beginning, and then flowed out like a plastic flow to form chips. Therefore, the first type of failure should be similar to (and of course much more complicated than) longitudinal cracks in the roughing of the pierced side of the chip, and if the side breaks through to the entire chip to form a true cell, otherwise the chip will be half-broken . At the same time, it is pointed out that this kind of destruction does not happen all at once, but the outflow process along the front gradually expands. On the second type of damage, the author believes that under normal circumstances it is suppressed by plastic deformation, so it can not see its expansion. It can expand and form advanced fractures only when processing small plastic materials at a low speed. In this paper, the author also attempts to reclassify the chip, and doubts whether the shrinkage factor described so far can truly represent the size of the plastic deformation. This article is about some discussions on the issue of vandalism, and I hope this will arouse people’s contention and further study on this issue.
