1998年,化工系统县以上国有企业因工伤亡事故有所下降,全年共发生重伤以上事故236起、死亡162人、重伤140人,分别比上年下降21.6%、14.7%和24.3%。但化工系统安全生产形势仍不容乐观,重大、多人伤亡、中毒事故仍时有发生。其中陕西兴化集团公司二期硝铵装置于1月6日发生爆炸,造成22人死亡、50多人受伤,直接经济损失达7000万元。最近,国家石油和化学工业局规划发展司印发了1998年化工系统伤亡事故年报,现全文刊登如下:
In 1998, the number of state-owned enterprises above the county level in the chemical industry system fell due to work-related accidents. In the year, there were 236 cases of serious injuries or more, 162 deaths and 140 serious injuries, down 21.6%, 14.7% and 24.3% respectively over the previous year. However, the situation of production safety in chemical industry is still not optimistic. Major and multiple casualties have caused poisoning accidents. Among them, the second phase of ammonium nitrate plant of Shaanxi Xinghua Group exploded on January 6, killing 22 people and injuring more than 50 people. The direct economic loss reached 70 million yuan. Recently, the Planning and Development Division of the State Petroleum and Chemical Industry Bureau issued the annual report on the chemical system casualties in 1998, and the full text is published as follows:
