本溪满族自治县隶属辽宁省本溪市,位于辽宁东部山区, 太子河上游。南起北纬40°48′50″,北止41°33′50″,东起东经 123°34′53″,西止东经124°45′42″。东与桓仁县、宽甸县毗连,南与凤城县为邻,西与辽阳市、本溪市区接壤,北与抚顺县、新宾县交界。总面积3 344.5平方公里。
