何绍基(1799—1873),字子贞,号东洲、蝯叟、猿臂翁等,湖南道州人。道光十六年进士,官编修。去官后在济南泺源书院、湖南城南书院等处讲学。在济南讲学四年中,留下了大量的书法作品,济南大明湖历下亭之“海右此亭古,济南名士多”便是其书法名作。何绍基工书法,精小学、金石篆刻等,并著有《东洲草堂诗集》、《说文段注驳正》及《水经注刊误》,是一多才多艺的书法家,其书法被誉为晚清
He Shaoji (1799-1873), Zi Zi Zhen, No. East Island, emu, ape arm Weng, Hunan Taozhou. Daoguang 16 years, official editing. After going to government in Jinan Yuyuan Academy, Hunan South College and other lectures. Four years in Jinan lecture, leaving a large number of calligraphy, Jinan Daming Lake calendar under the Pavilion, “the sea right Pavilion Pavilion Ancient, Jinan famous” is its calligraphy. He Shaoji is a calligrapher, a fine school, a stone carving, etc. He is the author of Donghua Caotang Poetry Collection, Shuo Zhai Shuo Zong Zheng and Shuijing Jingzhi Er, a versatile calligrapher whose calligraphy is reputed as Late Qing
