我省是全国主要棉区之一,但全省棉田约有百分之三十左右程度不同的盐硷地,在集中产棉的聊城、德州、惠民三个专区,盐硷地棉田所占比例更大。其中大部分为含硫酸盐和氯盐为主的内陆盐硷地,在我省常年春旱的气候条件下,播种季节前后,土壤盐分大量上升聚积于耕作层,影响棉花发芽出苗和正常生育。从而造成严重缺苗、死苗、发育慢、成熟迟、产量低。因此,确保全苗,防止死苗,促进早熟,为盐硷棉田增产的基本环节,也是提高全省棉花总产量的重要关键。
