The issue of the Ryukyu was formed in the complex relations of colonial expansion, the Pacific War and the Cold War, and it also emerged in the formation of the modern world order. It has always been the unresolved diplomatic issue between China and Japan. It concerns not only the fate of Ryukyu and the lasting peace in the Asia Pacific region, but also a new understanding of the modern world order and its future evolution. After World War II, the problem of Ryukyu surfaced once again. Although the national government at that time was faced with a rare opportunity to solve the issue of the sovereignty of Ryukyu, the national government could not directly express its demands for national interests because of too many external factors, which eventually led to the issue of the Ryukyu being not solved at all.
