March 12, 2013, Atlas Copco compressor manufacturing center in Wuxi was officially opened. The plant is the second factory to be built in Wuxi by Atlas Copco Compressor and will produce high performance small and medium size industrial compressors and mobile diesel and electric driven compressors and generators in the future China and even the Asian market for such growing demand for industrial equipment. The new plant includes a testing laboratory, a research and development center with a total investment of 165 million Swedish kronor (about 1.6 billion yuan).
