科学是梦。居里夫人说:“我们要把人生变成科学的梦,然后再把梦变成现实。”文艺更是梦。其中,文学的梦的意味尤为浓烈。弗洛依德认为:“文学是白日梦。”比弗洛依德早得多,我国明代大戏剧家汤显祖,曾用“因情成梦,因梦成戏”概括他的戏曲创作思想(《答甘怀义》)。“因情成梦”——“人世之事,非人世所可尽。”强烈的至情很难凭藉一般的方式表达,亟须找个非寻常、非人世的形象、场景、情节,于是作者脑海便浮现浪漫奇丽的梦境。
