In the early 1980s, pain management in our country gradually started. The Department of Anesthesiology of Wuhan No.6 Hospital (affiliated hospital of Wuhan Medical College of Staff) officially opened a specialist clinic for pain treatment in November 1984, based on anatomy and nerve block therapy. The main means to carry out new services for clinical treatment of various common acute and chronic pains. In 1992, it expanded into pain treatment.
