福建党组织的建立,根据档案资料的记载,一九二六年四月一日经党中央批准成立中共福州地委,直属党中央领导。四月间,厦门党团总干事会也正式分开,成立中共厦门总干事会,受广东区党委领导。七月,在建瓯成立了闽北第一个党支部。九月,党组织先后在闽南、闽西一些县建立了党支部。十二月,成立中共漳州临时支部。同月,在党团混合支部的基础上,建立了中共莆田特别区委,归属福州
