除JC病毒外,BK病毒(BKV)是人类唯一致病的多瘤病毒。人群中高达90％在11岁前初次感染后BKV便存在于肾上皮细胞内,人体免疫抑制时复活,并产生亚临床表现如病毒尿,或出现症状如输尿管狭窄或出血性膀胱炎。作者报告首例具有免疫活性的原发BKV感染的单纯脑炎。
In addition to the JC virus, the BK virus (BKV) is the only human polyoma virus that causes disease. Up to 90% of the population BKV is present in the renal epithelium after an initial infection of 11 years of age. The human body is resurgent when immunosuppressed and has subclinical manifestations such as viral urine or symptoms such as ureteral stricture or hemorrhagic cystitis. The authors report the first case of simple encephalitis with immunologically active primary BKV infection.
