当今,越来越多的英语学习者发现如果只是单纯地获得英语知识本身的话,如:语法规则、词汇、发音等,很难掌握真正的英语语言。在他们的英语学习过程中,可能会因为忽略了英语文化背景知识而犯很多错误。可以说文化背景知识在英语语言学习的过程中发挥着很重要的作用。只有当文化被融入到英语学习中后,整个的英语语言学习过程才是完整的。因此,不仅要学习语言知识本身,还要学习必要的文化背景知识。
Today, more and more English learners find it hard to master the real English language if they simply acquire the knowledge of English, such as grammar rules, vocabulary and pronunciation.
