选用水稻野败型不育系V41A(B_(10)、保持系V41B和恢复系HR24的三系体系。用IR24作轮回亲本置换回交V41A至SB_5(wIR24SB_5)和SB_7(wIR24SB_7);之后用V41B和珍汕97B作还原回交,分别在RB_2和RB_3获得了还原V41A和还原珍汕97A,它们同非还原的V41A和珍汕97A在育性上没有显著差异。观察了V41A(B_(18)/IR24和wIR24SB_7/V41B分离世代的育性分离,发现它们的育性分离谱没有显著差异,另外,观察V41AB_(10)至B_(20)各世代的花粉育性,也没有发现黑染花粉率在各世代间的显著差异。因此认为,野败细胞质在与异源核亲(保持系和恢复系)多代共处后仍然保持不育胞质的不育特性,说明野败型不育胞质有相当稳定的遗传特性。人们不必担心由于异源质核多代共处会使胞质不育特性产生变异。因此认为,不育系提纯的关键是保持系的提纯。
