埃及塘虱鱼,学名革胡子鲶(Clariasleather),在鱼类分类学上属于鲶形目,胡子鲶科。革胡子鲶是近二、三年来刚发展起来的淡水养殖新品种,1981年11月由广东省淡水养殖良种场从埃及开罗引进的。根据引进者反映,该鱼在埃及和尼罗河一带普遍饲养,养殖一年体重可达4斤以上。最大个体可达20多斤。这种鱼具有体形大,产量高,耐低氧,抗病害等诸多优良性状。根据宁波市水产养殖公司1983年的生产性试养结果,在我省的自然条件下,当年3—5公分的幼鲶,只
