中国戏剧家协会于四月十八日在北京召开第四次常务理事会(扩大)会议.这次会议主要是讨论戏剧家协会在新的情况下,如何改变组织,加强领导,改进工作,以便能更好地团结全国戏剧界的力量为祖国的社会主义建设服务.出席会议的有九十二人.会议决定在北京、天津、上海、沈阳、武汉、重庆、西安、广州等八大城市和内蒙古自治区、新疆维吾尔族自治区建立剧协分会,各省可以根据具体情况积极创造条件建立剧协分会;由于戏剧事业的不断开展,各地有一千多戏剧家申请入会,在会上讨论了吸收新会员的问题;“戏剧报”是剧协的机关刊物,各地戏剧工作者对它是关怀的.会上许多同志对“戏剧报”提出了许多意见,会议中组织了“戏剧报”改进小组,研究“戏剧报”今后的工作.
