Department of Archaeology of Beijing University Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology Zhumazui site,located in the western part of Guanzhong district ,mainly consists of Shang Culture remains ,and other elements of several cultures ,such as Predynasty Zhou,Liujia,Nianzipo Type,Sunjia Type,the Northern Cultures,etc.This excavation shows that Zhumazui site can be classified into 3 periods lasting from the upper Erligang to the second period of Yinxu or little later.The various culture elements mentioned above emerge in different periods,and their quantity vary.This excavation is very valuble to date the westward expension of Shang culture and its power fluctuation ,to date the several cultures and their inter relationship.
