素质教育是以提高学生的全面素质为目的,以培养学生的创新能力为核心,使学生全面发展的活动。因此,学校贯彻和实施素质教育势在必行!但是,我们有些教育工作者对素质教育认识不够,教育观念陈旧,没有很好地把握素质教育的主体性原则,依旧使学生在学习中处于被动、顺从的地位。在初中历史教学中要全面提高学生素质,就要解放思想,大胆创新,使课堂教学更符合教育规律,也使历史教学真正成为实施素质教育的主渠道。
