In this paper, an online method for the determination of trace cobalt by flow injection ion exchange pre-concentration flame atomic absorption spectrometry was proposed and applied to the analysis of natural water. The limit of detection was 0.2 μg / L (30) at a speed of 60 samples per hour. The relative standard deviation of the determination of 40 μg / L level cobalt was 1.7% (n = 11). In this paper, the efficiency, anti-interference ability of CPG-8HQ ion exchangers, Chelex-100 chelating resin and 501 chelating resin-concentrating cobalt are discussed, as well as the optimization of natural water sample recovery and condition parameters.
