RON (recepteur d’origine nantais) is a member of the MET protooncogene subfamily of receptor tyrosine family, mainly expressed in epithelial cells, the ligand of which is m acrophage stimu lating prote in MSP). The activated RON causes cell differentiation, migration, deformation and matrix invasion in vitro. RON overexpression, mutation and its shear variants are associated with the occurrence and development of many human epithelial tumors, such as colorectal cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer and kidney cancer.
