Objective: To investigate the expression of Survivin and CyclinD1 in Kazakh esophageal cancer tissues. Methods: The expression of Survivin and CyclinD1 in 20 cases of esophageal cancer tissues and corresponding paracancerous tissues was detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results: The total positive rate of Survivin gene was 50% in 20 cases of esophageal cancer tissues, and the positive rate of Survivin gene was 20% in the corresponding paracancerous tissues, and the expression of Survivin gene was lower than that of the corresponding cancer tissues. In 20 cases of esophageal cancer, 10 cases expressed CyclinD1 gene, the positive rate was 50%, while in 20 cases of paracancerous tissues, 13 cases were positive, the positive rate was 65%, and the expression of cancer tissue was lower than that of its corresponding Side tissue. Conclusion: The inhibition of apoptosis induced by the abnormal expression of Survivin gene may play a role in the carcinogenesis and progression of Kazakh esophageal cancer. The role of CyclinD1 in Kazakh esophageal cancer may be different from its role in other peoples.
