中国共产党成立78周年了。78年来,中国共产党领导全国人民,克服了无数艰难险阻,取得了一个又一个胜利。78年来,中国共产党人时时刻刻把《党章》作为自己行动的座右铭,哪里最危险,哪里最困难,哪里就会出现共产党员的身影。共产党员作为工人阶级的先进分子,其先进性无论是在战争年代还是在和平时期,都已为世人所公认。历史即将进入21世纪,新世纪来临之际,在中国共产党和全体中国人民面前,既有着大好的发展机遇,同时也面临着严峻的形势。国际上,随着苏联的解体和东欧剧变,西方敌对势力在加紧对我国意识形态领域渗透的同时,经济上、军事上,对我国的遏制也变得越来越猖狂。5月8日,以美国为首的北约公然践踏国际法准则,悍然用导弹袭击我国驻南斯拉夫大使馆,杀我同胞,毁我馆舍,对中华民族犯下了滔天罪行。这一切再一次提醒我们,帝国主义亡我之心不死,我们必须提高警惕。在国内,改革开放20年,不仅使我们的综合国力进一步增强,国际地位进一步提高,而且人民的生活水平也得到了显著的提高。但随着经济体制改革和政治体制改革的进一步深入,经济中、政治上各种矛盾日益显现出来,如果不解决这些矛盾,我们的改革就会停滞不前,我们的改革成就就可能毁于一旦。国际上的压力和国内的矛盾,对我们共产党人无疑是一场严峻的
