在我国几千年的历史长河中,重男轻女的观念一直比较严重,妇女在家庭中的地位低下,家庭暴力的现象比比皆是。新中国成立后特别是改革开放以来,妇女的政治地位、社会地位和家庭地位都有很大提高。国家提倡男女平等,妇女有参政议政的权利,妇女有同等的就业权,同样的劳动有获得与男子同等的报酬权,另外《劳动法》还就妇女在劳动中的特殊劳动保护作出了规定。可以说,今天,我国已基本上实现了“男女平等”。但是由于受到旧的传统观念的影响,在一些人的心目中,妇女永远低人一等,因此,虐待妇女的现象也时有发生,有些现象让人触目惊心。

It can be said that today, our country has basically realized “equality between men and women.” However, because of the influence of the old traditional beliefs, in some people’s minds women are always inferior to others. Therefore, mistreatment of women also occurs from time to time, and some phenomena are alarming.
