文章首先对本院现用的理工基础英语教材中的词汇量和词汇情况与实际运用语言的词汇需要量作了比较,并根据学生学习词汇和掌握词汇的情况,说明了词汇教学的重要性。然后提出了词汇教学的任务和原则。教师应把词汇教学贯穿于整个教学过程中,要遵循“精讲多练、举一反三、学新忆旧”的原则。因此在教学中要注意培养和训练实际运用词汇(词组)的能力;要讲授必要的构词知识,以举一反三,扩大词汇量;要通过讲解新词,运用旧词,以举例、组词、造句等方法同时复习和运用旧词汇,以达到“学新忆旧”(避免“学新忘旧”);并讲授记忆词汇的方法。为此目的,本文从十四个
