To study the relationship between zinc nail level and the risk of gastric cancer. A total of 156 gastric cancer patients newly diagnosed were enrolled in this study. Twenty-eight in-patients with non-gastric cancer were enrolled in this study. Their nails and lifestyle habits, including diet, Control study. Determination of zinc content in nails by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The results showed that nail zinc levels and gastric cancer was negatively correlated. The present smokers, past smokers and non-smokers to study found that only the current smoker nail zinc levels and the incidence of gastric cancer was significantly negative correlation; different tissue types of gastric cancer patients found that nail zinc levels and intestine Type gastric cancer was negatively correlated. The level of nails zinc was negatively correlated with the occurrence of gastric cancer in 2/3 part of the stomach, but not with gastric cancer located 2/3 part of the stomach. The study confirmed that nail zinc levels and the occurrence of gastric cancer was negatively correlated, but this negative correlation is limited to the current smoker stomach cancer, intestinal type gastric cancer and located in the stomach 2/3 of gastric cancer.
