在有关各方的大力支持下,我所于1990年5月11——13日成功地在昆明主办了“第四届泰学研究国际会议”。来自21个国家和地区的450多名学者(其中外国学者250多名)参加了这次会议。会议期间,我所所长陈吕范研究员的论著《泰族起源问题研究》以及我所编辑的《第四届泰学研究国际会议论文集》(第1、2卷)同时印出,发至与会学者手中(论文集3、4卷系在会后印出分发的)。会后,许多外国学者陆续在外刊外报上撰文,对以上各书从不同角度进行了评论。现将德国学者沃尔夫冈·弗兰克(中文名为傅吾康)所撰一组共三篇书评译出,供有关人士参考。这组文章收集在《1991年汉学图书评论:历史学与社会科学》一书中。
With the strong support of all parties involved, I successfully hosted the “Fourth International Symposium on Thai Studies” in Kunming from May 11 to May 13, 1990. More than 450 scholars from 21 countries and regions, including more than 250 foreign scholars, attended the conference. During the conference, the researcher of our institute, Prof. Chen Lvfan, “Research on the Origin of the Thai Nationality” and “The Proceedings of the 4th International Symposium on Thai Studies” (Volumes 1 and 2) edited by me, Participants in the hands of scholars (papers 3, 4 volumes printed after the conference distributed). After the conference, many foreign scholars wrote articles one after another in the Foreign Language and Foreign Language Tribune and commented on them from different angles. The German scholar Wolfgang Frank (Chinese name Fu Wu Hong) is composed of a total of three books translated for reference. This set of articles is collected in the 1991 Sinology Book Review: History and Social Science.
