Objective To observe the characteristics of vaginal mycoplasma infection in female patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and analyze its drug sensitivity. Methods A total of 246 female RA patients (RA group), 113 female patients with non-RA other disease (non-RA group) and 126 female healthy subjects (healthy group) were enrolled in this study. Cervical secretions from the study population were collected and subjected to mycoplasma isolation and culture (Ureaplasma urealyticum, Mycoplasma hominis, etc.) and drug susceptibility testing. Results The positive rates of mycoplasma in RA group, non-RA group and healthy group were not statistically different (P = 0.616). Among the three groups, the positive rates of UU, MHU and UU (+ Mycoplasma hominis) infection was statistically significant (P = 0.021). A pairwise comparison showed that there was a significant difference between RA group and healthy group (P <0.001), and non-RA group was also statistically significant (P <0.001) as compared with healthy group. In addition, three groups of mycoplasma infections in 12 antibiotic susceptibility tests showed that mycoplasma tetracycline, macrolide antibiotics (doxycycline, roxithromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin) drug sensitivity With statistical difference (P <0.05). Conclusion The positive rates of mycoplasma in RA patients, non-RA patients and healthy volunteers are similar. However, there are differences in the types of mycoplasma infection among female RA patients and non-RA patients, , Macrolide drugs drug sensitivity there are also significant differences.
