在茫茫沙漠中,刘文斌播下了一片绿州。那粗细不等、高矮不齐的白杨如烟如云,在戈壁滩崛起。他被评为全国绿化祖国突击手,去年底又被评为全国军地两用人才先进个人。库布其沙漠横亘在鄂尔多斯高原的北端。刘文斌这个从小生长在库布其沙漠南沿王二窑子村的基于民兵,吃尽了风沙的苦头。1983年退伍回乡后,凭着在部队练就的胆略和气魄,怀着改变家乡面貌的责任感,承包了家乡的6000亩荒沙滩植树造林。这在日益受风沙吞噬的鄂尔多斯高原,无疑是壮举。
