新课标下的高中英语课堂应该为学生提供丰富的选择机会和充分的表现空间,强调培养学生的自主学习能力。自主学习能力的培养,体现了从传统的学习方式向现代学习方式的转变。要从心理上让学生充分意识到只有具备了自主学习能力,才能在知识、技能更新迅速的信息化时代把握自主发展的机会;要引导学生注重综合能力和自主学习能力的发展,具有创新精神和创造性地解决问题的能力。作为教师,在培养学生发展自主学习的能力和合作精神的同时,要加强对学生综合语言运用能力培养;注重提高学生用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力以及用英语进行思维和表达的能力。
