The premise of this definition is “The ability to recognize information is based on skill and is acquired ”. Based on the definition of ALA, the Association of American Universities and Research Libraries (ACRL, 2002) places greater emphasis on the citizens’ demands in the information society as “a set of capabilities that require individuals”
