Objective To investigate the effect of psychological nursing on anxiety and postoperative complications in elderly patients with fractures and provide guidance for clinical practice. Methods Totally 80 elder patients with fracture in our hospital (from November 2014 to November 2016) were selected as the target of this experiment. 80 elderly patients were randomly divided into two groups. 40 cases of elderly patients with fracture in the control group were treated with daily nursing. 40 cases of elderly fracture patients in the experimental group were treated with daily + psychological nursing. The anxiety score and postoperative complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of anxiety after intervention in both groups were significantly lower than those before intervention, but the improvement in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group (P <0.05). The 40 patients with fracture in the experimental group The incidence of postoperative complication was 5.00%, which was significantly lower than that of the control group (22.50%), with statistical significance (P <0.05). Conclusion Psychological nursing intervention in elderly patients with fractures can significantly improve the patient’s psychological status, to some extent reduce the incidence of complications.
